Men in Blue
India is the most commercially powerful cricket nation. The BCCI is the richest cricket board in the world. India has won the ODI World Cup twice (1983, 2011), the T20 World Cup twice (2007, 2024), and the Champions Trophy once (2013).
The Baggy Greens
Australia is the most successful team in ODI World Cup history with six titles. They have also won the T20 World Cup (2021) and the World Test Championship twice (2021, 2023).
The Three Lions
England won their first ODI World Cup in 2019 in one of the most dramatic finals in cricket history, tied with New Zealand and winning on boundary count. They have also won the T20 World Cup twice (2010, 2022).
The Green Shirts
Pakistan won the 1992 ODI World Cup under Imran Khan. They have also won the T20 World Cup (2009) and Champions Trophy (2017).
The Windies
West Indies dominated world cricket in the 1970s and 1980s, winning the first two ODI World Cups (1975, 1979). They are the only team to win the T20 World Cup twice (2012, 2016).
The Proteas
South Africa are one of the strongest Test nations but have not won a major ICC knockout tournament. They were banned from international cricket from 1970 to 1991 due to apartheid.

The Black Caps
New Zealand won the inaugural ICC World Test Championship in 2021, defeating India in the final. They were runners-up in the 2015 and 2019 ODI World Cups.
The Lions
Sri Lanka won the 1996 ODI World Cup with a revolutionary batting approach pioneered by Sanath Jayasuriya and Romesh Kaluwitharana. They also won the T20 World Cup in 2014.
The Tigers
Bangladesh gained Test status in 2000 and have grown into a competitive cricketing nation. They are particularly strong at home, where their spinners exploit familiar conditions. They have produced players of the calibre of Shakib Al Hasan, one of the greatest all-rounders in ODI history.
Afghanistan's rise in cricket is one of the sport's great stories. They gained Test status in 2017 and have produced world-class spinners including Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. They reached the semi-finals of the 2024 T20 World Cup.
IPL · India
Chennai Super Kings are one of the most successful IPL franchises, having won the IPL title five times (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, 2023). Led by MS Dhoni for most of their history.
Mumbai Indians are the most successful IPL franchise with five titles (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020). Owned by Reliance Industries.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (formerly Royal Challengers Bangalore) are one of the original IPL franchises. Home to Virat Kohli for most of his IPL career.
Kolkata Knight Riders are co-owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. They have won the IPL title three times (2012, 2014, 2024). The 2024 title was their first in a decade, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final.
Sunrisers Hyderabad replaced the Deccan Chargers franchise in 2013. They won the IPL title in 2016 under David Warner's captaincy. They were runners-up in 2024, losing to Kolkata Knight Riders.
Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils) are one of the original IPL franchises. They reached their first IPL final in 2020, losing to Mumbai Indians. They are co-owned by JSW Group and GMR Group.
Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) are one of the original IPL franchises. They have not won the IPL title but have been competitive throughout the tournament's history.
Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural IPL title in 2008 under Shane Warne's captaincy. They were suspended from the IPL for two years (2016–2017) following a spot-fixing investigation. They won their second IPL title in 2022.
Gujarat Titans are one of the newest IPL franchises, joining in 2022. They won the IPL title in their debut season (2022) and were runners-up in 2023, both times under Hardik Pandya's captaincy.
Lucknow Super Giants joined the IPL in 2022 alongside Gujarat Titans. Owned by RPSG Group, they reached the playoffs in their first two seasons.
BBL · Australia
Sydney Sixers are the most successful team in BBL history, having won the title six times. They are known for their consistent performances and strong squad depth.
Melbourne Stars are one of the two Melbourne-based BBL franchises. Despite featuring many international stars, they are yet to win a BBL title.
PSL · Pakistan
Lahore Qalandars won back-to-back PSL titles in 2022 and 2023. They are known for their grassroots cricket development programme across Pakistan.
Karachi Kings won the PSL title in 2020. They are one of the most popular franchises in the league, representing Pakistan's largest city.
